A counting app for preschoolers and kindergarteners from the developers of the best-selling kids app, Shape-O! ABCs. Counting Caterpillar teaches the basics of counting with fun game play, beautiful graphics and quality sound effects.
This caterpillar is hungry! Catch aphids in the correct number sequence to feed the caterpillar and fill its belly. Earn butterflies while progressing through multiple levels, and visit them in the butterfly gallery.
☆ Multiple levels
Curriculum based counting practice covers counting in ones to 100, and skip counting in intervals of 2, 5, and 10. The hard level offers a review of these counting techniques in a random selection to challenge comprehension and memory skills.
☆ Learning by doing
The repetitive rhythm of the counting process is highlighted by the action of the game. The numbers are represented in various ways, including: number characters, spoken/voiceover numbers, and by the actual segments of the caterpillar. This is a fun way to encourage young ones to count all the way up to 100 and introduce interval counting.
☆ Positive feedback
Children are regularly rewarded with words of encouragement as they complete the number sequences. Counting Caterpillar features over 45 levels, and each achievement is marked by collecting a unique butterfly. The butterflies are added to a gallery which the child may browse at any time, maintaining motivation and contributing to a sense of accomplishment.

This app my kindergartner & preschool enjoyed playing. The only thin I didnt care for is having no way of turning off the option of the correct bug lighting up. My 5 year old caught on to soon to be challenging enough for him to truly learn. Over time hell memorize the order.
This is a beautiful app, full of color and cute sounds. The organization of the numbers is spot-on in terms of kindergarten curriculum. Definitely one of the more exciting kids apps out there. Impressed with the quality for a kids app.
With the addition of a feature to turn off hints, this app gets 5 stars. Its an adorable introduction to counting for preschoolers. My daughter (3) was DELIGHTED when she earned her first butterfly! Keep up the good work, Bellamon! :)
If there was a way to stop the caterpillar from moving...that would be big plus. Makes me dizzy. This also should be described as intro to number recognition, there isnt actual counting involved.
My son really likes this game and its very cute, but we cant seem to collect any butterflies. After each level we complete he never gets any butterflies which was a big dissapointment to us both. If we can get that fixed we would give it 5 stars.
